KAB Jewellery

Katherine Alexandra Brunacci is a jewellery designer, goldsmith gemmologist and valuer. She launched her first collection for Gallery Fifty Four in 2010 shortly after completing her Master of Fine Arts degree majoring in Gold and Silversmithing at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Katherine has won two international design awards from Milan and is now based at the Goldsmiths’ Centre London. Her jewellery suits those looking for something classic in style with a contemporary flair.
All gemstones used in Katherine Alexandra Brunacci Treasures are ethically sourced. Katherine travels the globe to source the gemstones she uses in her creations. Through her travels she has built strong relationships with her stone suppliers, all of whom have a strong ethical mission statement. It is important to her that every stone used is traceable and that mine workers are treated and paid appropriately.
KAB Jewellery uses 100% recycled silver, and all gold is sourced from mine sites which meet the Fairtrade Gold Standard; a globally recognised marker of best practice. All of their treasures are handmade within Katherine’s London based workshop. She manufactures the majority of pieces herself, and also uses local casters and platers, all based within Hatton Garden
‘I have always loved ancient jewellery. That an object can be thousands of years old and still be as breath-taking as when it was first made excites and inspires me in my work. The fact that I’m skilled in an ancient craft is pretty magical to me. I find this connection to Goldsmiths from the past incredible.
As with all of my jewellery I see the pieces I make as artefacts of the future. It is very meaningful to me that each piece I create is ‘one of a kind’, a personal treasure that speaks to the wearer when they discover it, and that will be handed down through the generations’ – Katherine Alexandra Brunacci – Founder.
