The chateau rooms at La Maison Couture are buzzing with excitement after our first sighting of Vanessa Seward’s fabulous collection for Atelier Swarovski. We are all calling first dibs on the absolutely must-have Bianca Necklace (pictured above).

This gorgeous collection – Vanessa’s first for Atelier Swarovski – showcases the crystals perfectly. She explains that she wanted to bring out the beauty of the Swarovski elements. “They were the starting point of my designs. The pendants were inspired by the kind of ethnic necklaces chic Parisian boho women use. I wanted the mesh pieces to look like crystal feathers.”

Vanessa’s pieces have a wonderfully light and summery feel. She initially started working with Swarovski’s bright Golden Shadow crystals and later went on to add the pieces in the simply stunning vivid blue Indicolite shade. Perfect poolside to evening accessories…

Raised in Paris from the age of 12, the ever elegant Ms Seward spent nine years with Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel and two years with YSL Rive Gauche under Tom Ford and most recently helped put Paris based label Azarro back on the map. The designer’s creations have graced the red carpet, dressing some of the Hollywood’s best, such as Natalie Portman, Diane Kruger and Carey Mulligan. Since parting ways with Azarro in 2011, Seward launched a collaborative line with French fashion house APC, July 2012.
