Bex Rox  inspects natural horn pieces for her About Afrika Collection ~ inspired by the Maasai Tribe, Nairobi, Kenya

We are delighted to introduce a selection of stunning new pieces to La Maison Couture from The Afrika Collection by Bex Rox. Inspired by the allure of Africa and it’s ceremonial tribe culture, Bex’s philanthropic nature led her to Nairobi in Kenya, to learn more about the Maasai Tribe.  After two weeks spent in collaboration with the Crea Africa organisation, Bex worked tirelessly with local artisans to create a luxury collection of hand crafted jewellery, in order to support the local community and further develop their skills.

Through this unique collection of hand made fringed collars, horn necklaces and cuffs utilising 24kt gold plated chains, tribal beading and bespoke hand-cast magnetic clasps…, Bex explores her love of colour and texture.  By incorporating in to her work traditional attributes and skills of the Maasai culture, taking inspiration from the tribe’s ceremonial accessories, Bex is able to transform  traditional skills of local craftsmen into the manufacture of modern, desirable, luxury jewellery pieces of today…
