Innara Jewelry
Innara bridges the stories of historical fearless, daring women figures from Anatolia with today’s go-getter, aspiring women, passionate in what they stand for in life. The true passion for the twin founders Yasemin and Defne has always been the world of jewellery. Growing up in Turkey, it was when they were 10 years old they started selling their own handcrafted jewellery in their hometown Cesme, and they donated their first profit to an NGO supporting girls education. Since then they knew jewellery was a powerful item for them to celebrate inspiring, powerful women and should be worn to empower them in every way to follow their dreams.
With that, their main vision for Innara since day 1 has been to accessorise the sheroes, the women painters, entrepreneurs, film directors, the scientists – the aspiring women to empower them even more.
Innara Jewelry takes its inspiration from the Innara goddess herself – the ruler of the wild animals and the daughter of the Storm god. She is a strong, passionate, influential woman, protecting her civilization at all costs.
The founders identify Innara pieces as passion items. Wearing these passion items reminds us women, everyday, to keep moving forward, and aspire us to be our best selves in what makes us feel the most passionate and powerful in life, in what gives us our true unique voice.
This collection has delicate designs that you can typically find in gold jewellery designs. Reflecting this delicacy and elegance, Innara uses 925 sterling silver as their base metal instead of brass, and 1.5 microns of 18K gold plating which is high in industry standards (allowing it to resist tarnishing for a long time).
As they manufacture their pieces, Innara Jewelry makes sure they abide by sustainable practices. Innara also recycles raw silver by using the scrap materials leftover from previous work. Hence this process prevents the material from being wasted and allows it to be used over and over again.
