Gaia Ring
The Gaia ring is mounted on a recycled 18ct yellow gold band to elevate the sculptural gold globe, split open to reveal a marquise cut sky laboratory-grown diamond suspended in a deep black rhodium plated space. These organic shapes feel familiar, tactile and might be imagined as the jewels of mother earth herself, or her blinking eye watching over us and how we care for her planet.
Part of Lily Cole x Skydiamond’s Gaia collection. Designed in collaboration with Skydiamond’s Brand Ambassador; supermodel, actor and environmental activist Lily Cole. Lily took her inspiration from Gaia, the goddess Mother Earth, and our interconnectivity between all things, as is seen in the geometric and sculptural works of Swedish artist Hilma Klint.
Skydiamond have created the world’s first carbon-negative, sky laboratory grown diamond, symbolising a commitment to ethical choices without compromising on design. Their first-of-its-kind production process ensures end-to-end traceability at the Sky Lab in Gloucestershire. These laboratory-grown diamonds are truly clean, crafted exclusively from raw materials sourced from the sky: CO2, wind, sun, and rain. The entire process is powered with Skydiamond’s own renewables provided by their sister company, Ecotricity.
