Trained at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Azza Fahmy launched her eponymous Azza Fahmy jewellery brand in 1969 inspired by 7000 years of Egyptian heritage and culture.

Azza started her journey in the passageways of old Cairo’s Khan El Khalili bazaar, where, in the 60’s she was the first woman to apprentice in Egypt’s jewellery district. Today, Azza Fahmy is internationally recognised as the leading jewellery designer of the Arab world and Egypt’s first designer label.

Her unique blend of contemporary jewellery, calligraphy jewellery and wedding bands in silver and gold, mixed with semi-precious gemstones, are inspired by Ancient Egyptian civilisation and combined with artistic craftsmanship and modern techniques. Each of her jewellery pieces tells a story centred around an inspirational motif such as a poem, romance, words of a song or romantic poetry…
